Este es un reportaje exclusivo que el Coordinador Internacional del UAPSG-GEFAI, Lic. Milton W. Hourcade, le acaba de hacer al gran investigador y estudioso espa~nol Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos, responsable del cat'alogo m'as completo a nivel mundial, de fotos de "ovni".

MO Y CU'aNTO TE SURGI'o LA IDEA?
A los 17 a~nos inici'e mi andadura ufol'ogica, era el a~no de gracia de 1965. Desde entonces, ha transcurrido una larga vida ufol'ogica de 47 a~nos (1) durante la cual he cumplido varias etapas, dedicadas cada una de ellas a un proyecto de larga duraci'on, como el estudio de los casos de aterrizaje en Espa~na y Portugal (1974 2001.
La idea inicial era simplemente organizar y catalogar varios cientos de fotograf'ias de casos OVNI que ten'ia en un archivo especial. Aunque las fotos nunca han sido motivo fundamental de mi inter'es, s'i es cierto que en las primeras tres d'ecadas de mi pr'actica ufol'ogica trat'e de hacerme con copias de originales de fotograf'ias de supuestos OVNIS, aparentemente extraordinarios. Su atractivo trascend'ia mi afici'on por el tema, era una atracci'on art'istica, pl'astica. De la misma manera que Kandinski, Picasso u otros me fascinaban, las im'agenes de presuntos platillos volantes me seduc'ian. Las fui guardando hasta llegar a una colecci'on m'as que aceptable, pero sobre la que no hice nada m'as que acumularlas.

Complementando el archivo en papel est'an los archivos de diapositivas y el de im'agenes digitales, 'este 'ultimo a'un en proceso de ordenaci'on cronol'ogica y por pa'is. Muchas miles de fotos originales, diapos y fotos digitales conforman el apoyo gr'afico del cat'alogo.
El cat'alogo comienza desde que se tiene noci'on de la primera foto de OVNI conocida (a~no 1762) y finaliza, como regla general, el 31 de diciembre de 2005. ?Por qu'e esa fecha? A final de ese a~no decid'i hacer un corte en cuanto a la admisi'on de nuevos casos al cat'alogo, cuando comprob'e que desde el siglo XXI, la inmensa mayor'ia de las -much'isimas- fotos que se conoc'ian (la mayor'ia v'ia internet) eran puramente basura, p'ajaros y aves congeladas en vuelo en fotograf'ia digital. Cre'i que si deb'ia ser exhaustivo hab'ia que establecer una fecha de corte. Sin embargo, hay algunas excepciones, debidas a varios factores, por ejemplo, Argentina cierra el 31/12/2006 y Espa~na el 31/12/2008. De momento, no hay fecha l'imite para los casos de rayo en bola o bien los avistamientos militares o de aterrizaje en Espa~na.
?DE TODAS ELLAS, SACAS ALGUNA CONCLUSI'oN?
Queda mucho por hacer, muchos periodos cr'iticos por analizar, muchos pa'ises que examinar, muchas comparaciones que establecer entre regiones, a~nos, tipos de casos, etc. A pesar de lo mucho realizado, es poco con respecto a lo que nos queda por delante. A buen seguro en los pr'oximos a~nos estaremos en disposici'on de aislar y extraer algunas conclusiones generales originales.
?EXISTE UNA O UN GRUPO DE FOTOS DE SUPUESTOS "OVNIS" QUE SEAN REALMENTE V'aLIDAS COMO TESTIMONIO GR'aFICO DE ALGO EXTRA~nO EN LOS CIELOS?
Es evidente que la casu'istica mundial contiene algunos ejemplos de fen'omenos de dif'icil tasaci'on, lo que resulta un acicate para la continuaci'on del estudio de este tipo de informes. El problema reside en que en algunos de los casos no identificados mejores (por ejemplo, Cocoyoc, M'exico, 10-9-1990, o Alfena, Portugal, 3-11-1973), la forma y caracter'istica din'amica de los objetos filmados son semejantes a los de globos aerost'aticos; en otras situaciones, como los eventos cl'asicos de McMinville, Ohio, 11-5-1950 o Great Falls, Montana, 15-8-1950, por citar un par de ellos ocurridos en los Estados Unidos, son casos controvertidos y muy pol'emicos porque se han propuesto explicaciones alternativas que parecen razonables. Lo que parece evidente eEn este instante no me puedo decantar por "las mejores fotos" ya que la tarea de an'alisis pendiente es todav'ia inmensa.
regionales o anuales a los investigadores que lo soliciten, lo cual es muy habitual. Desde octubre de 2002 edito un blog que (ir)regularmente da cuenta del progreso en la progresi'on del cat'alogo, informa de trabajos realizados, facilita informaci'on sobre casos fotogr'aficos, produce estad'isticas derivadas de FOTOCAT, hace rese~na de libros y sirve para mencionar y agradecer la amplia ayuda internacional que recibe este proyecto. En la ufolog'ia mundial, este blog fue el primero y uno de los pocos que es biling"ue, en ingl'es y en espaM'aS ALL'a DE LA ACUMULACI'oN DE FOTOS CON SUS DETALLES DE QUI'eN, CU'aNDO Y D'oNDE FUERON TOMADAS, ?QUE OTROS ALCANCES TIENE EL FOTOCAT?
FOTOCAT por s'i mismo podr'ia ser un fin 'ultimo en s'i mismo -ya es la mayor base de datos global sobre esta categor'ia de avistamientos-, pero yo lo concibo como un banco de datos para la generaci'on de informes tem'aticos, regionales o anuales, de los cuales ya se han publicad con la globalidad del fen'omeno OVNI en lo que ata~ne a manifestaciones registradas en pel'icula.

"One of the UK's top UFO experts has given his views on the likelihood of aliens suddenly appearing in our skies - and how the international community would respond.
Nick Pope, who has more than two decades under his belt at the Ministry of Defence, said mass summer events - like the Olympic Games in London - would be a prime time for crafts from otherworlds to present themselves to mankind.
He warned: 'With the summer of mass events we are all on high alert for terrorism. But we must also cast our eyes further afield and be prepared for even the most seemingly unfathomable.'
Pope's duties at the MoD included investigating reports of UFOs between 1991 and 1994, and says he began his research as a sceptic, before becoming convinced that the sightings raised important defence for national security and air safety issues.
He was particularly interested in cases where the witnesses were pilots, or where UFOs were tracked on radar, and said there were other believers among his former colleagues.
He said: 'It has been a widely held belief in Ministry of Defence circles that "aliens" have been able to detect us for decades via TV and radio broadcasts.
'What once seemed like science fiction is steadily being realised by central governing bodies as distinctly real.
'If aliens have studied our psychology, they may choose to appear in our skies on a significant date - the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games is one date being widely circulated by conspiracy groups.
'The atomic bombs detonated in the 1940s, and the rocket technology since developed would unquestionably have alerted nearby alien civilisations to our existence.
'On their arrival it is difficult to say what they would do: explore, help or destroy. Our resources make us quite a special threat.'
Hopefully, if aliens do come and introduce themselves to us, they come in a spirit of warmth, friendship and shared learning - but Pope said the government was also prepared for the worst scenarios.
He said: 'The government must - and has planned - for the worst-case scenario: alien attack and alien invasion.
'Space shuttles, lasers and directed-energy weapons are all committed via the Alien Invasion War Plan to defence against any alien ships in orbit.
'If UFOs came into our atmosphere, RAF jets such as the Eurofighter Typhoons, and missiles such as the Rapiers guarding the Olympic Games would be well equipped to enter the fray.
'And if the aliens landed, in an unprecedented move, I am in doubt that the entire Army would be join the fight.
'The TA and the Reserves would be called out and conscription potentially introduced
Speaking about the cultural impact of aliens since the first widely-reported cases in the 1940s, he said: 'It is interesting to note that we are all in some ways equipped to deal with alien invasion - games such as Resistance: Burning Skies on PlayStation Vita help acclimatise people to the reality of extraterrestrial life - and in particular that they might be hostile.
'It is a widely held belief that classified information about weapons and tactics useful in combatting alien occupation are embedded into such gameplay.
'The primary flaw is our lack of knowledge - we are limited in the extent of what we know about the alien species.'
Pope's role in the government was once described as 'working on the the X-Files of the UK', and he has since published Sunday Times top ten non-fiction bestsellers, such as Open Skies, Closed Minds.
His final role at the MoD, held until 2006, was Directorate of Defence Security, and since leaving he has given lectures and TV interviews about his views on the existence of UFOs.
He added: 'Aliens may possess weapons or advanced technology we've no idea of. Aliens may have invisibility, a death ray, teleportation, force fields and other things we can't even guess at.
'Beyond this, unity is key, but as history dictates, this is not so easy.
'The logical course is to unite the world against the alien threat, combining our military strength and fighting under the United Nations. But some countries might not fight.
'We saw this type of treachery and cowardice in the Second World War. Though some brave people joined the Resistance, much of France accepted Nazi occupation.
'The final and perhaps biggest flaw is preparation. With the summer of mass events we are all on high alert for terrorism. But we must also cast our eyes further afield and be prepared for even the most seemingly unfathomable."

"FULL DESCRIPTION OF EVENT/SIGHTING:" I was coming home from college of December 09, 2012. It was a cold, but still silent night when I realized earlier on that I had forgot my wallet and only had enough money for the journey there and a sandwich and I knew I'd be walking home.
As I began to set off from college near the river side stadium Middlesbrough, I looked up above the stadium to see a huge triangular shaped black craft moving silently in the silent night.
There was no noise, it hovered and then left heading east towards Europe. It had three orange/red lights in each corner.
I tried to take a picture, but all I got was black. I believe it's a government vessel, most likely created in the USA. Maybe even after recovered technology from the Germans in WW2.

Com a "Glasnost," a pol'itica de transpar^encia e abertura inaugurada por Gorbachev p^os fim `a Uni~ao Sovi'etica, na forma que tinha durante a guerra fria, muitos jornais russos perceberam a import^ancia do assunto 'ovni como qualquer "paranormal" ou t'opico incomum, eram muito populares e comecaram a publicar hist'orias estranhas e relatos de ufos regularmente, sem prestar atenc~ao `a veracidade da hist'oria e sem consultar com uf'ologos s'erios, j'a que era uma quest~ao de conseguir mais leitores e n~ao para investigar o fen^omeno. Havia, portanto, uma nova onda de revistas e coment'arios que rapidamente misturavam ufos com astrologia, poltergeist, sexo e desaparecimento de civilizac~oes antigas, em grande parte sensacionalista. O uf'ologo russo Boris Shurinov revelou a descoberta de julho de 1989, ao longo de uma art'eria de Moscou, de um simples remendo da grama queimada de oito metros, que um uf'ologo delirante Kouzovkine alegou ter sido causado pela forte radiac~ao emitida por algum disco voador que ningu'em realmente viu, e que de acordo com os bombeiros, eram simplesmente os restos de um palheiro que pegou fogo. Tr^es extraterrestres e um rob^o haviam caminhado pelo parque. Foi neste contexto que, em Outubro de 1989, no meio de uma enxurrada de fraudes jornal'isticas, que a hist'oria sensacional de uma aterrissagem de extraterrestres no centro de Voronezh, cidade de 800.000 habitantes, aproximadamente 500 km de Moscou, foi revelada.O primeiro relat'orio da onda de Voronezh apareceu no jornal Kommuna Sovi'etica. Este incidente particular ocorreu em um parque na cidade durante o curso de um jogo de futebol. As testemunhas, muitos adolescentes, bem como mais de quarenta adultos. Os peritos confirmaram que um 'ovni realmente desembarcou em um parque de Voronezh. De acordo com a declarac~ao descobriu-se no local de pouso os tracos da embarcac~ao e seus ocupantes, os quais fizeram uma curta caminhada no parque. De acordo com testemunhas teria havido nos 'ultimos dias pelo menos tr^es visitas extraterrestres. Uma enorme bola ou um disco luminoso chegou acima do parque, em seguida desceu at'e o ch~ao e sa'iram por uma passagem dois a tr^es seres extraterrestres de 3 a 4 metros de altura com cabecas min'usculas, bem como um pequeno rob^o. Durante certo tempo, o extraterrestre virou a bola antes de voltar para dentro, em seguida, a nave decolou sem ru'ido e desapareceu em um piscar de olhos. O medo que se apoderou das testemunhas durou v'arios dias. Na Franca, muitos jornais publicam a hist'oria, por exemplo, "Le Courrier de l'Ouest," em 10 de outubro de 1989: Um 'ovni teria desembarcado na Uni~ao Sovi'etica - Moscou - Pesquisadores sovi'eticos alegaram que uma nave espacial estranha n~ao identificada, operada por pessoas gigantes com cabeca pequena, recentemente pousou em um parque da cidade de Voronej.A ag^encia Tass anunciou na segunda-feira: Os cientistas "identificaram o local do desembarque e descobriram vest'igios das criaturas estranhas que efetuaram uma curta caminhada no parque". A data do desembarque n~ao 'e especificado. De acordo com a Tass, uma bola ou um grande disco luminoso foi visto acima do parque pelos habitantes de Voronezh, cidade localizada a 480 km no sudeste de Moscou. O objeto voador n~ao identificado caiu e tr^es criaturas, que mediam entre 3 a 4 metros com cabecas min'usculas, semelhantes aos seres humanos, sa'iram de l'a, acompanhados por um pequeno rob^o. E deu, traduzido pela Associated Press em 9 de outubro de 1989: Por JO~AO IAMS Associated Press: MOSCOU (AP) - A ag^encia de not'icias oficial Tass disse hoje que os cientistas confirmaram a aterrissagem de uma nave alien'igena gigante transporte de pessoas com cabecas pequenas. "Os cientistas confirmaram que um objeto voador n~ao identificado pousou recentemente em um parque na cidade russa de Voronezh", Tass disse em nota da expedic~ao a partir da cidade, a 300 quil^ometros a sudeste de Moscou. Mas a Ag^encia Tass, em seguida, informou outros detalhes: Moscou, 10 out. TASS. O jornal Sovetskaya Koullaura publicou detalhes adicionais sobre a apar^encia de um objeto voador n~ao identificado em Voronezh (R'ussia central).Segundo o jornal, ocorreu na noite quente de 27 de setembro. Depois de terem analisado o terreno, os "visitantes" fecharam a porta do alcap~ao, da esfera desembarcaram, dois seres desceram, um dos quais, sem d'uvida, um rob^o. O primeiro pronunciou alguma coisa, depois disso, um tri^angulo luminoso de 30 a 50 cent'imetros era visto por alguns momentos no ch~ao. O extraterrestre tocou no peito do rob^o, e este comecou a andar. Neste momento, um dos garotos gritou de medo. Um "visitante" lancou um olhar luminoso em sua direc~ao: o menino n~ao conseguia se mexer mais. Toda a multid~ao gritava e ent~ao a esfera voou para longe com os seus passageiros. Cinco minutos depois foram novamente vistos. Desta vez, um ser com tr^es olhos tinha um tubo de meio metro de comprimento ao seu lado. Ele apontou-o em um adolescente de dezesseis anos: este desapareceu e reapareceu apenas quando o aparelho e os extraterrestres voaram definitivamente. Comentando esta informac~ao, o correspondente permanente Sovetskaya Koultoura em nota diz que 'e dif'icil explicar. Mas, em sua opini~ao, algo realmente ocorreu. H'a testemunhos de dezenas de pessoas. Os moradores da rua Poutiline mais de uma vez observaram o aparecimento de ufos na regi~ao.Milicianos e jornalistas questionaram as testemunhas, mas n~ao h'a nenhuma contradic~ao na descric~ao da esfera e das ac~oes dos extraterrestres. Al'em disso, todas as criancas que participaram do fen^omeno ainda est~ao com medo. Since I started this adventure called "Bigfoot Research" I have from time to time captured video or pictures of creatures that do not fit in the nice neat box of what is expected. I started researching back in 2009 and since I have captured over 10 of these anomalies. The one I am showing you today was a rare double. The photographs were taken with a trail camera set to take 60 pictures (one per second) for sixty seconds if it was tripped. There is a clearly visible "anomaly" on the left side of the frame but I also noticed a faint dark figure in the photographs just out of the beam of the IR illumination. I noticed faint eye shine and the possible body and a face of this subject as I reviewed the footage. The subject has a "troll like" appearance. Is this a Bigfoot or something else?

When I first began this odyssey called Bigfoot Research one of the goals was simple, get HD footage of a Bigfoot and share my findings. I was frustrated by researchers announcing they had "ground breaking footage" but then never releasing it to the public. There was always an excuse from legal battles with land owners to waiting until the DNA Study was published. So I made the pledge to myself that if I filmed it I would post it. I too got caught up in holding a couple clips because of the DNA Study, but since its release everything about my research is out there. When I contemplate the amount of data that is now public it amazes me how many, especially in the so called "Bigfoot Community", demand more "proof". I have often asked myself, "how much is enough"?
They wanted pictures/videos and when I went out and figured how to capture them on video and posted the video/pictures.
They wanted physical evidence and I went out and collected hair, finger prints, and footprints.
They wanted audio and I captured vocalizations that were verified by experts.
In the end they demanded "hard scientific proof" so I participated in the Ketchum DNA Study and sent in multiple samples to the study.
The Bigfoot Community became deeply emotionally invested in the outcome of the DNA Study. This was what they had been waiting on for fifty years, a study that would "prove" scientifically Bigfoot existed. Unfortunately the community is severely fragmented into factions. Each faction had their own theories on what a Bigfoot is. You could divide the community into two distinct groups those who believed Bigfoot was some sort of human and those who believed Bigfoot was a Bipedal Ape. The Bipedal Ape faction made up a majority of the community with many scientist and big names in the community personally and professionally invested in Bigfoot being an Ape. As time passed the community grew impatient for results due to ignorance of how the scientific process worked. Then in their displeasure with what the community perceived as a lack of progress they systematically began to destroy what they wanted most, the DNA Study and the scientific proof Bigfoot existed.
Greed, narcissism, professional pride, scientific bias, fear of change, in fighting, rumor mongering, etc. overtook so many in the community that a strange "feeding frenzy" began concerning the study. It quickly became fashionable to dig up anything you could on Dr. Ketchum and the DNA Study team. Anything and everything was reported via the blogs.
Rumors, lies, misinformation, leaked information, third party opinions, it was all put out there and eerily celebrated by most in the Bigfoot Community. They eagerly lapped it all up and with an unethical leak of the first peer review from a Journal Nature referee there was now "blood in the water". The feeding frenzy began. The community willingly accepted what the blogs were posting no matter how outrages or unsubstantial the claim. Much like the old propaganda tactic if you tell a lie long enough and loud enough then the people will eventually believe it.
Now the community hopes were dashed, many took it so personally they developed an irrational hatred of Dr. Ketchum and believed the rumors and lies. In their minds the study was a complete hoax and farce. When the study was finally published no one even bothered reading it, they already made up their minds, they had bought the garbage they were fed by the bloggers and the critics.
The critics repeated the buzz words over and over "hoax", "flawed processes", "no supporting data", and "human contamination". Nothing would change their minds. They refused read the study or to accept the mountains of scientific documentation. Many could not accept the conclusion of the DNA study that Bigfoot was a human hybrid, this was just too unsettling, it had to be "Bipedal Ape". The vast majority did not understand the science so shrewd scientist and unscrupulous bloggers seized on this to confuse and misinterpret the DNA results. The Bigfoot Community was more than happy to accept and believe anything and everything the critics claimed about the DNA Study without question.
The Bigfoot community had what they most wanted scientific proof in a five year half a million dollar study with over 100 samples, 3 complete genomes, and solid scientific documentation to back it all up, but the vast majority refused to accept the truth and instead embraced the misinformation and the lies. Some have been deceived, some confused, and many willing participants in the destruction of Dr. Ketchum and the DNA study. Many lashing out with a visceral hatred for Dr. Ketchum and the few remaining supporters of the DNA Study that borders on psychotic, irrationally acting as if they were purposefully and personally harmed by Dr. Ketchum.
