Personally, I have had only one personal encounter with a high level official. In April 2001 I asked then Vice-President Dick Cheney about the UFO cover-up when he was a guest on the Diana Rehm show in Washington D.C.
Assuming that Cheney would have the necessary "need to know" I asked "In all your jobs in government, have you ever been briefed on the subject of UFOs, and if so when was it and what were you told."
Cheney answered, "If I had been briefed on that subject it would probably be classified, and I couldn't talk about it."
That is a long way from Alexander contention that there is no cover-up and that high level officials openly conceded to him that they knew nothing. "UFOs would probably be classified." It sounds like there is some UFO material that is being withheld to me.
If a nobody like me can get the only official encountered to conceding that the UFO subject is classified (as opposed to the "I know nothing" response that Alexander got 100% of the time) it leaves open the possibility that Alexander talked to the wrong people or asked the wrong question.
A few years after I had this encounter with Cheney my friend Dr. David Rudiak asked the same briefing question to General Wesley Clark after he made a statement while running for President stating that he believed we could go faster than the speed of light, and after I got an inside tip that Clark had been briefed on UFO crash recoveries. In the papers Goldwater wrote a number of letters on UFOs which he was very interested in. In many he described his attempt to get into the Blue Room at WPAFB (where all the Top Secret UFO material was rumored to have been stored) but was denied access by General Curtis LeMay. In reference to the Lemay incident, Goldwater added in a 1975 letter, "It is still classified above Top Secret."
Prior to 1981 Goldwater stated in his letters that beyond this Wright-Patterson incident he didn't know anything more than the man on the street. In 1981, after Goldwater became Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, the tone of the letters changed. He no longer stated that he knew no more than the man on the street.
After 1981 Goldwater began to speak of a cover-up of UFO information by the government.
Speaking to a fellow ham radio operator Goldwater made this statement indicating that he had obtained some secret inside knowledge on Roswell, "Relative to your question about the accuracy of the details in the "Roswell Incident," they are partially true, but not completely. I can't give you any other answer than that so please don't push it."

"Completely unconventional aircraft this thing was completely cloaked with the exception of two rear lights and a center orb. It distorted the sky around it. When it passed through a low cloud we saw the complete shape more readily. It was incredible.
"My wife and I were in our yard mulching and working on our pond at 6:30pm. My wife called to me and pointed at the sky. She pointed at the cloaked object in the sky. I saw what I can best describe as a very shinny metallic orb in the sky with what I can best describe as a semi oval horseshoe crab shape with two oval light in the tail area.

The following are the strange crafts and objects I encountered most often over a period of 46 plus years, from 1939 or 1940 until August of 1986...and my family and I a few times since 1986. We also saw them on the ground or near the ground and we interacted with them intimately. Others and I have been inside most of them at one time or another. When we first saw them, they appeared so strange, we normally froze and were most often speechless for a time, etc. When I and the other people who were with me encountered most of the crafts and objects, "the voice" communicated with us, telling us several different things, or it tried to get me and others to cooperate and get into a craft or object...for instance for the excruciating "conditioning sessions" as described in a blog below. At times, as the voice communicated with us and as a craft or object moved near us in an intelligent manner, it seemed as if it were alive. THE WINDOWED SAUCER - This was the craft we saw most often. If other objects and craft were present, the voice most often spoke from or near the windowed saucer.
