Very bright white disk/circular object traveling at a snails pace through the night sky... The evening sky was clear and there was no obvious light pollution. I was sitting with my youngest Grandson (9 yrs old) on the Chehalis River when I noticed movement in sky. I had my binoculars with me as we were waiting to view the Perseid meteor shower. I grabbed my binoculars immediately as I knew it wasn't a conventional aircraft..I live in Maple Ridge BC and live on a major flight path so I'm super familiar with aircraft, I'm a star gazer and have been for the last 4 years, so I've grown accustomed to seeing satellites, aircraft and meteor's... Something about the way it was moving, its like it was observing, right away I noticed there was no beacon lights on the top or bottom, no blinking of any kind! Also the object was moving very slowly, I had time to look at it, pass the binoculars to my Grandson and let him view it! Its movement was unlike anything I've ever seen in the night sky...smooth, slow and no sound....I continued to watch it until it flew in a straight line until it went out of sight behind a row of trees and out of view....

George Knapp interviewed, UFO investigator Christian Lambright and delved into the mysterious case of Paul Bennewitz, in which he became a victim of a govt. disinformation program, when he revealed he'd captured footage and strange signals relating to unusual craft at Kirtland AFB, outside of Albuquerque. Bennewitz (who died in 2003) was a successful Albuquerque businessman who had contracts with military agencies, and was initially considered credible. He first became interested in the cattle mutilation mystery, which led to his fascination with UFOs, and in 1979, he started recording film of mysterious craft at Kirtland from the roof of his house. He described seeing glowing spots over a period of minutes, followed by a sudden flash, with objects then taking off suddenly and flying around the mountain, low enough to evade radar, Lambright recounted.Bennewitz was concerned that these craft might be a threat to weapons at the AFB, and took his film and information to the Air Force. But his contacting the Air Force, initiated a chain of events that led to his downfall, and a stint in a mental hospital. Richard Doty, an agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, handled the case, and carried out a disinformation campaign on Bennewitz, enlisting UFO researcher Bill Moore in his efforts to mislead and discredit Bennewitz. They led him to believe that he was intercepting signals from aliens, and that ETs lived in an underground base in Dulce, NM, so that people would think he was mentally unstable, Lambright outlined. However, in a written statement Doty provided to George Knapp, he said that Paul Bennewitz was targeted because of his involvement with a Russian scientist, and that Bennewitz was convinced he was receiving alien signals, "and we just let Paul believe that." The MJ-12 documents were first intended to be given to Bennewitz as part of the disinformation campaign, Lambright added. He also discussed the UFO films made by researcher Ray Stanford that depicted craft which had different facets or faces and a beam that pulsed outward from their center. From viewing the films, Lambright concluded that the beam was related to the craft's propulsion. An engineer, who also saw the films, ended up working for a black project on laser propulsion, and Lambright believes he based some of his designs on what he observed in Stanford's films.

As a firm non-believer in UFOs for most of my adult life, I have recently watched a few great documentaries that have tipped the scales in the other direction. UFO sitings were always a topic reserved for science fiction geeks and the like, but since the general public now has more access to video and photo equipment in an "on the spot" format (cell phones, etc.) the UFO sitings have been pouring in as of late.
If you haven't seen it already, and you have NetFlix (which is an AWESOME program by the way), then you should definitely check out Dan Aykroyd's documentary on UFOs and how the world will soon be forced to publicly release information about UFOs in order to further our education on this topic...if nothing else, for our own safety. According to Aykroyd in this documentary, it is only a matter of time before a UFO appears at a large enough gathering of people (rock concert, sporting event, etc) that will witness a UFO sighting together and validate this phenomenon. The Mexican government released some pretty good videos of a UFO sighting in 2005, and to make the UFO case even stronger many former US astronauts have come forward with UFO encounters that they had while traveling in outer space on various voyages and missions. Several credited and famous astronauts (among them Gordon Cooper) have claimed that UFOs have "followed" their missions in outer space and an increasing amount of video footage has come out recently proving their statements. Gordon Cooper claims that a group of UFOs in "military formation" followed one of his flight missions, flying directly next to Cooper's plane and even "immitating" his movements - and then showing off with some of their own moves. Many believe that the US Government designed the B-52 Stealth Bomber based on their study of documented UFO photos and possibly even recovered wreckage.
