The mysteries behind many UFO sightings may never be explained, but what happened over Puget Sound on June 21, 1947 is a mystery that's getting new life in a film.
It's a complex story with many facets, but it that can be summarized like this: At 2 p.m., Harold Dahl was on a fishing boat salvaging logs with his young son when he said he saw six flying discs appear above him over the water.
One of the donut-shaped discs appeared to be in trouble and dropped what appeared to be tons of a hot molten substance in the water and the beach. As the story goes, the heat and debris killed his dog and burned his son.
Days later he was visited by a mysterious "man in black," who told him not to talk about what he saw. He was then visited by two Air Force investigators who were on a classified mission to see him and gather evidence. On the investigators' return to a California airbase, the B-25 they were piloting crashed, killing both of them and destroying whatever evidence they were carrying. The FBI closed the case without any resolution.
It's known as the Maury Island Incident.

UFO SIGHTING IN HOUSTON, TEXAS ON JULY 4TH 2013 - 8-10 RED-ORANGE BALLS OF LIGHT FLYING SOUTH TO NORTH
We went to my backyard, approx. 9pm on July 4th to see fireworks. Immediately we observed a red-orange ball of light in sky moving slow but steady South to North. We watched it silently fly overhead. The light only appears at the front of the object and the back is unlit. Several more appeared on the same path and going the same speed. During these sightings an airplane appeared higher than the objects and you could hear it. During each appearance a bat would appear flying erratically...don't know if that matters but did not want to leave anything out.

MO Y CU'aNTO TE SURGI'o LA IDEA?
A los 17 a~nos inici'e mi andadura ufol'ogica, era el a~no de gracia de 1965. Desde entonces, ha transcurrido una larga vida ufol'ogica de 47 a~nos (1) durante la cual he cumplido varias etapas, dedicadas cada una de ellas a un proyecto de larga duraci'on, como el estudio de los casos de aterrizaje en Espa~na y Portugal (1974 2001.
La idea inicial era simplemente organizar y catalogar varios cientos de fotograf'ias de casos OVNI que ten'ia en un archivo especial. Aunque las fotos nunca han sido motivo fundamental de mi inter'es, s'i es cierto que en las primeras tres d'ecadas de mi pr'actica ufol'ogica trat'e de hacerme con copias de originales de fotograf'ias de supuestos OVNIS, aparentemente extraordinarios. Su atractivo trascend'ia mi afici'on por el tema, era una atracci'on art'istica, pl'astica. De la misma manera que Kandinski, Picasso u otros me fascinaban, las im'agenes de presuntos platillos volantes me seduc'ian. Las fui guardando hasta llegar a una colecci'on m'as que aceptable, pero sobre la que no hice nada m'as que acumularlas.

Complementando el archivo en papel est'an los archivos de diapositivas y el de im'agenes digitales, 'este 'ultimo a'un en proceso de ordenaci'on cronol'ogica y por pa'is. Muchas miles de fotos originales, diapos y fotos digitales conforman el apoyo gr'afico del cat'alogo.
El cat'alogo comienza desde que se tiene noci'on de la primera foto de OVNI conocida (a~no 1762) y finaliza, como regla general, el 31 de diciembre de 2005. ?Por qu'e esa fecha? A final de ese a~no decid'i hacer un corte en cuanto a la admisi'on de nuevos casos al cat'alogo, cuando comprob'e que desde el siglo XXI, la inmensa mayor'ia de las -much'isimas- fotos que se conoc'ian (la mayor'ia v'ia internet) eran puramente basura, p'ajaros y aves congeladas en vuelo en fotograf'ia digital. Cre'i que si deb'ia ser exhaustivo hab'ia que establecer una fecha de corte. Sin embargo, hay algunas excepciones, debidas a varios factores, por ejemplo, Argentina cierra el 31/12/2006 y Espa~na el 31/12/2008. De momento, no hay fecha l'imite para los casos de rayo en bola o bien los avistamientos militares o de aterrizaje en Espa~na.
?DE TODAS ELLAS, SACAS ALGUNA CONCLUSI'oN?
Queda mucho por hacer, muchos periodos cr'iticos por analizar, muchos pa'ises que examinar, muchas comparaciones que establecer entre regiones, a~nos, tipos de casos, etc. A pesar de lo mucho realizado, es poco con respecto a lo que nos queda por delante. A buen seguro en los pr'oximos a~nos estaremos en disposici'on de aislar y extraer algunas conclusiones generales originales.
?EXISTE UNA O UN GRUPO DE FOTOS DE SUPUESTOS "OVNIS" QUE SEAN REALMENTE V'aLIDAS COMO TESTIMONIO GR'aFICO DE ALGO EXTRA~nO EN LOS CIELOS?
Es evidente que la casu'istica mundial contiene algunos ejemplos de fen'omenos de dif'icil tasaci'on, lo que resulta un acicate para la continuaci'on del estudio de este tipo de informes. El problema reside en que en algunos de los casos no identificados mejores (por ejemplo, Cocoyoc, M'exico, 10-9-1990, o Alfena, Portugal, 3-11-1973), la forma y caracter'istica din'amica de los objetos filmados son semejantes a los de globos aerost'aticos; en otras situaciones, como los eventos cl'asicos de McMinville, Ohio, 11-5-1950 o Great Falls, Montana, 15-8-1950, por citar un par de ellos ocurridos en los Estados Unidos, son casos controvertidos y muy pol'emicos porque se han propuesto explicaciones alternativas que parecen razonables. Lo que parece evidente eEn este instante no me puedo decantar por "las mejores fotos" ya que la tarea de an'alisis pendiente es todav'ia inmensa.

Desde octubre de 2002 edito un blog que (ir)regularmente da cuenta del progreso en la progresi'on del cat'alogo, informa de trabajos realizados, facilita informaci'on sobre casos fotogr'aficos, produce estad'isticas derivadas de FOTOCAT, hace rese~na de libros y sirve para mencionar y agradecer la amplia ayuda internacional que recibe este proyecto. En la ufolog'ia mundial, este blog fue el primero y uno de los pocos que es biling"ue, en ingl'es y en espaM'aS ALL'a DE LA ACUMULACI'oN DE FOTOS CON SUS DETALLES DE QUI'eN, CU'aNDO Y D'oNDE FUERON TOMADAS, ?QUE OTROS ALCANCES TIENE EL FOTOCAT?
FOTOCAT por s'i mismo podr'ia ser un fin 'ultimo en s'i mismo -ya es la mayor base de datos global sobre esta categor'ia de avistamientos-, pero yo lo concibo como un banco de datos para la generaci'on de informes tem'aticos, regionales o anuales, de los cuales ya se han publicad con la globalidad del fen'omeno OVNI en lo que ata~ne a manifestaciones registradas en pel'icula.

walking east on western side of glen jackson bridge. East of portland airport.Directly in landing path of airport. Look up and see small white sphere moving rather fast(well beyond plane speeds. but not warp speed.) heading north. thought it was kind of curious as I stated. In immediate landing path for pdx. plane was coming in but was still way out. Noticed no marking lights or beacons flashing. Looked away for a second to contemplate. looked back up. continued north for another second then without any deceleration whatsoever made an over 90% turn downward. which didnt make much sense until I thought perhaps a dip in the columbia. I dont know. I do know it was cruisin' along at a nice clip and it didnt seem to turn west. It distinctly looked like an immediate turn towards planet surface. Lost it behind structure I was walking to.

Not sure what to think of these two photos of UFOs taken just 30 miles apart. They were both taken on the 6th of January this year.
The photo above was taken by Ernestas Griksas outside of his home in Chatham.
The second, UFO photo below, was snapped by Josh Cummins as he was driving to work at Loughton, in Essex. He told the Sun newspaper, "I nearly crashed. I stopped to take this picture with my mobile. It was like the UFOs were surfing the clouds. They were there for 15 seconds then vanished. I wasn't a believer in UFOs but this made me think again."
The two photos were captured approximately 75 miles from Rendlesham Forest which is sometimes talked of as the UK's Roswell.
The Rendlesham Incident took place outside of a US Air Force base at Woodbridge in Suffolk, England, shortly after Christmas 1980. Various lights were seen in neighbouring Rendlesham Forest by numerous servicemen, who investigated and found an apparent landing site.
This site was examined by the deputy base commander, Charles I. Halt, who took readings with a Geiger counter and was also witness to a flashing light in the direction of Orford Ness as well as star-like objects in the sky.
There is a famous memo by Halt, released in 1983, that told of his investigation. This is a copy of his words:
1. Early in the morning of 27 Dec 80 (approximately 0300L) two USAF security police patrolmen saw unusual lights outside the back gate at RAF Woodbridge. Thinking an aircraft might have crashed or been forced down, they called for permission to go outside the gate to investigate. The on-duty flight chief responded and allowed three patrolmen to proceed on foot. The individuals reported seeing a strange glowing object in the forest. The object was described as being metallic in appearance and triangular in shape, approximately two to three meters across the base and approximately two meters high. It illuminated the entire forest with a white light. The object itself had a pulsing red light on top and a bank(s) of blue lights underneath. The object was hovering or on legs. As the patrolmen approached the object, it maneuvered through the trees and disappeared. At this time the animals on a nearby farm went into a frenzy. The object was briefly sighted approximately an hour later near the back gate.
2. The next day, three depressions 1.5 inches deep and 7 inches in diameter were found where the object had been sighted on the ground. The following night (29 Dec 80) the area was checked for radiation. Beta/gamma readings of 0.1 milliroentgens were recorded with peak readings in the three depressions and near the center of the triangle formed by the depressions. A nearby tree had moderate (0.05-0.07) readings on the side of the tree toward the depressions.
3. Later in the night a red sun-like light was seen through the trees. It moved about and pulsed. At one point it appeared to throw off glowing particles and then broke into five separate white objects and then disappeared. Immediately thereafter, three star-like objects were noticed in the sky, two objects to the north and one to the south, all of which were about 10 degrees off the horizon. The objects moved rapidly in sharp, angular movements and displayed red, green and blue lights. The objects to the north appeared to be elliptical through an 8-12 power lens. They then turned to full circles. The objects to the north remained in the sky for an hour or more. The object to the south was visible for two or three hours and beamed down a stream of light from time to time. Numerous individuals, including the undersigned, witnessed the activities in paragraphs 2 and 3.

Are the two UFO photos genuine? Could they be linked in some way to the Rendlesham UFO incident, even though now some thirty years later? As with all UFO stories it's difficult to answer with any certainty.

"Tomas, I would be just a tad more open minded about the NASA thing......there is more than speculation about the modification of photographs...... there are several instances of communication confusion between NASA and other Agencies....this lends itself to questions of reasonable doubt that there is something askew in the graphics of several photographs released to the public.....Also, there was an experiment conducted by NASA that released a "teather", even though this is public knowledge it is not a well known item....This "teather" disintegrated after being bombarded with electrical energy..... not saying that NASA as whole is complicit in guilt but there are components that are receiving higher commands from somewhere? Do you know where? Marty"

Douglas, thanks for your interest.
If you read again my message, you will find that I deny the idea of a massive, international conspiracy. Franklin said once that for three men to keep a secret, two should be dead. I don't believe in that NASA conspiracy and even less I believe that the whole scientific community conspires to keep such things as intelligent life on Mars, ETs befriending the governments, and the rest of the absurdities that EXOS feed us daily.
No, after 4 decades of research I am convinced that there is not such Conspiracy.
More, I do not believe that a secret few can manipulate NASA in such a way.
I am convinced that the gov. cover-up exist: what they keep under secret is that they DON"T KNOW. They cannot recognize this, because the recognition is in itself a security problem.
The whole mythology of contact between Aliens and Gov. is exactly what the authorities need.
Let a couple of lawyers, some hysterical women and men, charlatans, and opportunists tell us that they KNOW?! what Science doesn't.
This is magnificent to keep the good minds alienated from the UFO Enigma.
