UFO SIGHTING IN NORTH CAROLINA ON NOVEMBER 24TH 2013 - HOVERING SILVER REFLECTIVE ORB
While traveling west on U.S. 74 from Shelby towards Boiling Springs, NC. I was riding as a passenger, in the back seat, on the drivers side, I was looking across the freshly cut cotton fields for deer when I noticed a very large, silver/chrome colored orb hovering above the field. I had been watching the sky this morning due to the many con-trails being left by the high flying aircraft in the area. This was very different than the many aircraft I had seen, it was much larger, and closer than the high flying aircraft that were in the area. It had no wings or lights that I could tell. It was a very shiny, chrome-like orb, and much larger than any other object in the otherwise clear sky. I pointed it out to my brother that was in the front passengers seat. He also saw the object and could not figure out what it was either. After about 30 seconds the tree line partially blocked our view so I asked my dad to make the next left turn onto Beaver Dam Church Road heading south directly towards the area the orb was observed. When we cleared the trees, less than a minute later, there was nothing at all in the otherwise clear sky.

As I mentioned in my last post, I've been doing interviews for my book about J. Allen Hynek, and learning some surprising things in the process. A few days ago, I interviewed Mark Rodeghier, who started as a volunteer to Dr. Hynek back in 1974 and now is the President of Hynek's Center for UFO Research, or CUFOS, and, even though I've talked with him a dozen times, he had a few surprises for me.
When it comes to UFOs, Mark knows just about everything, and what he doesn't know he can find out, because he's got every UFO expert in the word on speed-dial. And I like him because he recruited me to write this book in first place, and he recruited me because he read a few of my blog posts here on "High Strangeness. "And if that doesn't prove that anything is possible in this crazy, mixed-up world, I don't know what does.

Anyway, during the interview, Mark and I had a long talk about his experiences with one of the greatest UFO researchers of all time. I asked him which UFO incidents were his favorites, and he gave quite a list of sightings that were of personal significance to him. But along the way he talked about how these incidents have changed their nature over the years and how that has changed the way they've been investigated over the years... And at one point he said, "After all, what is a UFO incident? It just means, 'Something weird happened here.'"
I had to laugh! Here's one of the world's foremost experts on the UFO phenomenon -- if anyone had the right to take himself and the entire phenomenon entirely too seriously, it would be him -- and he boils the whole thing down to, "Something weird happened here." I love it!

Is it cosmic synergy and synchronicity or just a creative spirit that is making Arizona the focus of film and television projects linked to unusual phenomena?
The independent film "The Appearance of a Man" and the TV series "Paranormal Matrix" were both created in Arizona.
"The Appearance of a Man" will be featured at the 15th annual Sedona Film Festival which runs from Feb. 23 to March 1.
"The Appearance of a Man" earned two awards at the San Diego Film Festival in September 2008. These included Heineken's Red Star Award for Outstanding Film for Daniel Pace, writer, director, editor and executive producer. Lead actor and producer Michael Tassoni earned the festival's award for Best Actor.
The film also was also awarded Best Director at the Ohio University Film Festival, Best Feature at the Indie Fest and Best Cinematography at the Monaco Film Festival.
According to the film's press release, it is "an intriguing, visually stunning story that begins on the night of March 13, 1997, when strange lights were seen in the Phoenix sky. An unknown, yet somehow vaguely recognized man appears in the streets of Phoenix, touching off a series of extraordinary events in the lives of those he encounters."
Interestingly, in late January 2009, apparent new information began surfacing about the behind-the-scenes activities at Arizona's two major Air Force bases during the Phoenix Lights incident.
The small screen is also part of recent creative endeavors in Arizona. The TV series "Paranormal Matrix" is being marketed by Ken Liljegren and Gregg Housey of Spectrum Video ">

Melbourne: The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has recently taken responsibility for at least half of all UFO sightings between 1950s-60s, it has been reported.
A previously confidential CIA document has revealed that most of the sightings were actually U-2 spy planes, News.com.au reported.
The report, 'The CIA and the U-2 Program, 1954-1974', written by Gregory Pedlow and Donald Welzenbach, outlines the CIA's involvement in the development of the U-2 spy plane. It explains how the testing of the planes led to a massive increase in UFO reports.
The sensational 272-page document reveals how the agency tested U-2 spy planes at altitudes of 60,000ft above countries such as the Soviet Union.
At that time, most people were not aware manned flights were possible at these heights so many, including several pilots, reported sightings as UFOs.
In the mid-1950s, most commercial airliners flew between 10,000 and 20,000 feet, while military aircraft such as B-47s and B57s flew below 40,000 feet.
The document goes on to reveal that the CIA cross-referenced UFO sightings to U-2 flight logs and this enabled the investigators to eliminate the majority of the UFO reports although they could not reveal to the letter writers the true cause of the UFO sightings.

A eyewitness wrote a 12 page letter with 2 diagrams over what the lady observed over Strathcona Park Ottawa, Ontario. A huge craft, with windows sat over top of the water as she watched, she did not feel any bad feelings from the object, but was extremely taken back of that evenings UFO event. Al;so she spoke to a male friend later on after the sighting, and it sounds like he to was witness to possible the same craft, as described in this letter.

Donations To HBCC UFO Research
Well gang I was hoping not to ever go this route, in asking for donations to help keep HBCC UFO Research operating. But on a pension it is becoming more expensive and difficult for everything I do here at HBCC UFO Research and taking more of a bite out of the pension.
If you would care to lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated. I have placed a donation button on another page, external link. I want everyone to know this is an old site I use to operate when I stated up HBCC UFO Research years ago. I had to use this method as I have a problem adding an html code to my main website.
Also I should add, I don't know of anyone in the UFO field who makes any funds out of what they enjoy doing, all expenses that myself and others in the UFO field come straight out of our own pockets. I guess one has to have a passion for the topic, but it does get expensive for everything one does.
Any help towards keeping the HBCC UFO Research operating would be certainly welcomed.

BLACK TRIANGLE SIGHTING IN HEUVELTON, NEW YORK ON JUNE 23RD 1997 - {RJL} LATE NIGHT CRAFT SIGHTINGTRIANGLULAR THREE ORANGE ORBS ONE CENTER BLINKING WHITE LIGHT 06/2007
I left work after finishing up on the 2nd shift and stopped to get gas in town. I remember thinking the weather was pretty clear and comfortable that night. Probably between 60 to 75 degrees fahrenheit. I left the gas station and around 1 1/2 miles later I was at a series of sharp curves just prior to entering a wooded area on my road. As I came around the bend I saw the triangular craft with solid orange orbs at the points and a blinking light in the middle hovering around 50 to 75 ft. over the tops of the trees. I guess the object was around 100 to 200 ft. long and half as wide. The appearance of it made me first freeze then my mind began to race. I stopped my car as soon as possible and was able to prevent myself from being located directly below the object. Looking up at the underneath of it I was a little afraid and definetly in shock. What was to happen next as it quickly became clear to me that the technology my eyes were looking at was without a doubt capable of being fatal too me or anything around it. I also had a slight feeling of lost time. I was probably sitting in my car with it parked in the middle of the road staring at this craft for about 8 mins., desperately trying to wrap my mind around the dark colored objects underneath on the bottom of it along with the brightness of the orange orbs. I tried but couldnt recognize any of the ships parts from other mechanical objects i recognize which just continued to startle but later amaze me. At about the four mins. remaining mark I realized it hovered there and Id heard entirely no sounds from the ship. The object was so clearly differently composed from anything I had ever seen before I continued to realize. It wasnt making any noticeable sounds but how? It should have been impossible for that to be true due to the size of the craft and how close I was located to it I shouldve heard it. I then once again tried to recognize any of the objects on the outside underneath of the craft to help me understand how this object could float there so idly and seemingly effortlessly. At this point I guess I had been looking at the craft in fear and amazement for about 12 mins. It then moved away and out of my eye sight maneuvering in a "z" like pattern incredibly fast and was gone without a trace. I assume it had to be faster than the speed of light.
