UFO SIGHTING IN WASHINGTON, ILLINOIS ON AUGUST 14TH 2013 - GREEN LIGHT WITH TAIL FALLING QUICKLY IN SKYMy boyfriend and I were sitting in the car around 12:55 am on August 14, 2013. I was looking down at a book and he was looking at his phone as well. For some reason he looked up and yelled so I then looked up too. We both saw something pretty big that looked like a green fire ball/shooting star (but much bigger) falling from the sky. It looked like a green fireball with a long tail of green fire as well. Right before it got to the tree line it seemed to slow down almost like it had released a parachute. It then either went out or disappeared behind trees but right before we lost sight of it it turned white and then red. It was extremely bright especially compared to anything else in the sky. We see planes all the time and it was much, much bigger and much brighter. The whole thing lasted around 3 or 4 seconds and then was gone.
